Bad Day...

Being a two year old must be really rough. He has been in time out twice today for sticking his finger in the dogs ear.
I tried to talk to him about it but apparently he was not ready to talk because this is all I got.......

To you everything is funny, you have nothing to regret. I would give all I have honey for you to stay like that...

I watch him as he plays today. It is one of those very rare moments when me and Will are the only two in the house. It is quiet here as he occupies himself by putting all of his stuffed animals under the kitchen table. I think how simple his world really is right now. I would like to keep him frozen in this moment for awhile and to shield and protect him from the world. That of course is not reality ...... but for today it is......
I love the song "never grow up" That is what I think about as he plays..................

Of course in about 10 minutes Josh and the boys will be home and the house will go back to the organized chaos I have so grown to love and expect.

Say Cheese..........................OR NOT

Well the bad mother in me decided that the kids could handle ten minutes of cold in order to get a great shot of all three of them outside. The naive mother in me actually thought we would get his picture. So 26 shots later. We only got one PHOTO where someone was not either .. A. Crying. B. Whining. OR C. closing their eyes. D. Squinting....

*****Sigh*******

Getting a shot of three at the same time is always hard. Getting a shot of three outside in Maine when they are freezing is that much harder. I begged, I threatened, I made deals. So now that I owe three burgers to three boys that I bribed and still have no printable photos. I give up...=-) To resume again on a day when I find more patience.......

What a week....

So the last week has been long. I have gotten bad news. I have been very tired and have had to deal with two sick boys all week long. They say when it rains it pours and this week I feel like I am drowning.

I love my boys, and my life. Sometimes though. Even MOMMY could use a vacation. I am thinking some where warm and sunny.

TRUE CONFESSIONS

I love reading all the blogs online. They make me smile. I love reading about all the milestones and memories. Let's face it though. People leave MUCH of their life off the blog to maintain that "image" Me not so much. I am pretty real. What you see is usually what you get in this house and I will say it. THIS WEEK HAS BEEN LONG...............and I am tired...

So far today I have said

1. Do not bite the dog
. Do NOT touch the dog's butt
3. Do not bite your brother
4. M&Ms are NOT a breakfast food.
5. Is that a glue stick in your mouth?
6. Do not hit your brother
7. Do not kick your brother
8. Do not lick the TV.

And it is still before 10am. It is a fair statement to say that I am tired Week. In the few minutes that it took to write this My two year old has proceeded to dump an entire basket of folded laundry on the floor, Empty ONE bucket of legos and climb over the back of the couch. It may be safe to say that THE TWOS have arrived and are in full force this week. The whole time proudly saying WAT ME MAMA (watch me) However when I glace up to see the little boy with his winter hat on with his pajamas and one of each of his brothers boots on his feet, how can I not smile at the jelly face kid who is doing everything to get my attention...

GOOD THING HE IS CUTE..................................................

I blinked and they were gone......

The holidays that is. After t2 straight days of Christmas excitement too much food, many gifts and lots of family it is now time to put the tree away for another year. Christmas.. which in our crazy family actually started about 3 weeks ago with one weekend party after another has come and gone again. I love Christmas eve and Christmas day but it leaves me behind a big mess and grumpy over tired over stimulated children that take about a week to get straightened out again.
This Christmas has proved to be no different the kids were spoiled by everyone once again and between the two days we had to make three trips home with presents just to have room to bring the kids home too. It did not make much sense for us to take the presents and leave the kids. Although with Mason whiney and Dylan going down the hill and falling into the snow minutes before church. I admit that idea was pondered. =-)

The kids were up and bouncing off the walls by 6am Christmas morning. All I could think of was WOW and we have three housed to tackle by 6pm... This is going to be a crazy 12 hours. Then it was READY SET GO... and off we were one house after the other enjoying, family , presents, and food. The kids had a blast but it is fair to say we were all ready to collapse by the time we made it to our last stop of the day.
Once we were back home and had fought our overtired children to bed. Josh and I just looked around at the heaping amount of presents and I remember asking him. GOsh where to me start. He just smiled that "I have no idea" smile he gives me and we just dove it. By the time I had untied and twisted more little plastic pieces then once person should have to see in a year. I gave up and went to bed. IT was a wonderful Christmas but it was gone before I blinked........

So I did it again...

Yep. I did it again. I swore I would update this weekly if not monthly nope. I have no updated since Halloween . WOW so much has happened since then. Thanksgiving came and went in a blink of an eye. WILLIAM TURNED 2.. I am having a hard time with that one. I asked Josh if we could have another baby. He told me it would have to be a Christmas Miracle" haha I guess he was referring to my tubal.

Christmas is this weekend and I feel so unprepared for it. All our holiday parties have came and gone... I always use those to practice for the real thing. I remind the boys to say their thank yous and threaten them to never EVER let on if they already have gotten a gift. Mason I guess did not catch on this year to the always be polite. He opened up some socks...... and I saw what was going to happen. YUP. the lip came up the eyes welled up with tears . I thought to myself " GOSH NO DO NOT DO IT" too late. The flood gates opened and my unappreciative child sat there and cried over that gift. ahhhhhh 4 year olds. He had gotten many other gifts from that same person, but that did not seem to matter, getting those socks still made him cry.

So we are again going to spend the week practicing our present etiquette.
