Mason quote of the day for 9-30-2010
"William.. apparently mom did not realize that ONE brother was enough"
BROTHERLY LOVE....
The other day we were eating supper with the boys. Two of which had not been listening very well to Josh and I the whole day.....
So Josh went into the bedroom to do something and knocked over a lamp. The bulb shattered all over the room. Josh came out told the boys to stay put and asked me to come help him clean the giant mess. We were not in the bedroom for more than a minute when the door flung open and Mason came into tell that Dylan was starring at him. Josh reminded him that we told him to stay out right now and that he needed to listen. Josh then told him that due to the fact that no one was listening today that the next person who came through that bedroom door while we were trying to clean that mess was heading straight to bed because we were tired of the not listening. Not even a moment later Dylan came bursting in the bedroom and stated..
MASON SAID YOU WANTED ME......................hahahaha CLASSIC MASON =-)

Dog food and cats....who have died???
So today was Mason's very first ever show N tell at preschool. He was so excited for it. He told me he had to bring something that reminded him of his pets. So easy enough I thought. I pulled out the photo album and got a picture of Mason with the dog. was that good enough for the little man. NOPE of course not. Why? Because he is Mason and had his own ideas... so off he ran and came upstairs this morning holding two big fists full of DOG FOOD. Why? Well why not this is what reminds him of his dogs... fair enough. I put it in a baggie and packed it.
Then he decided he wanted to talk about his cat too.... so I thought well we have a 2 year old cat and Mason could share a picture of that cat. NOPE he insisted on bringing in pictures of our cat who had died last year..... LOVELY. I asked him why he chose that picture and not the cat that is alive. Well Easy he said. " I bet the kids have never seen a dead cat" I told him but the cat was alive when we took that picture. Still he said. " this is a dead cat and I love him" ALRIGHTY THEN off to school he went. My apologies to his teacher who know gets to explain that one to the class................

ahhhhh The joys of Mother hood...
So just think I woke up this morning thinking YAY Friday..... and OH what a FRIDAY it has been. I no longer like the letters TGIF
The day started great. The baby slept in. The boys ate breakfast and watched Tv and then as quickly as the silence set in it was taken from me.
The boys started fighting, the baby flipped the chair over, The dog chewed a toy. SO then we had it my average day. Well average has a way of being under rated. After I got all those situations under control I decided to crank the expander in Dylan's mouth as I have to twice a day for the next few months. My first mistake was thinking I did not need a flash light. I actually got the little key thing stuck in the expander and could not get it out for ten minutes. Well the kid layed on the couch crying with a flip top head. I get the mom of the year award for that one. While I am trying to get the key thing unstuck. William decides he is HULLK and knocks over the end table taking my lamp with him. NO ONE was hurt ......but the lamp.
Thing calmed down and we moved onto lunch. I walk back in the kitchen to William saying Kitty kitty to the dog who was (no joke) on his tray eating his lunch *yep you read that right the dog was on the babies tray** How did he get up there you ask??? Great question and if I ever find the answer I will let you know.
I got the dog off dumped the tray cleaned it got the baby new food and he knocked it on the floor. Meanwhile Dylan is eating in the living room on a tray and stood up ... guess he forgot the food on his lap knocking it all over the living room floor. So the dog then had her second snack of the day............................
Oh and if I had time to share Mason stories today... but I do not why .?? Because I know have to wash the floor for a second time today and change the babies food covered clothes before my company arrives in ten minutes..
Oh the Joys of being a SAHM ...
I think I need a vacation........

Where has the Summer gone??
It seems like yesterday we were awaiting Dylan's last day of school and the start to our Summer vacation. Wow it has already been two months since then almost time to go back to school already. Time sure does fly. It has been a great summer though filled with lots of mini trips, vacations and fun. Mason will also we starting preschool in a few weeks and it breaks my heart to look back and see how fast the first 4 years of his life really have gone. He has been here home with me since the day he came home from the hospital and now he will be in preschool for three mornings a week. WOW.=-(
He is going to a great preschool though with a great teacher and I am blessed to have gotten him in there.
Oh Where have my babies gone??????

OCEAN.................
Josh took Monday off and we packed up and left the house before 8am (7:57am) to be exact and were quite proud of ourselves for getting up and out on time. =-) We drove to Popham beach and the boys had the time of their lives. They loved walking on the edge of the ocean and looking for shells. Will loved running ahead of us, but was not quite sure of the freezing cold water. They laughed, ran , played , ate sand (William) and just had the best time ever. They were adorable to watch. I love days like this................
I would estimate by the time we went home, Mason had collected 200 shells, including nasty smelling crab shells, Dylan had fallen in deeps spots about 15 times, and William had eaten enough dirt to fill our entire sandbox and the neighbors. BEST DAY EVER...........................

HAPPY FATHERS DAY
I know most of my posts are funny or a quick update and I rarely get emotional, but today I thought I would give it a try..
I just wanted to say HAPPY FATHERS DAY to my wonderful husband..... who in my eyes . Stepped in and saved my world and became the best father ever. His love, trust and compassion over the years has made him not only my husband but my best friend in the world.....
I LOVE YOU JOSH............
